Oak Orangeries

Lantern Styles

There are many different styles of lantern available - some oak frame companies make their own in oak whilst others buy ‘off the shelf’ aluminium lanterns. It makes sense to add some form of ventilation to a lantern as it is the highest point of the orangery - we would always recommend a lantern with a ‘ribbon’ underneath as per the one installed by Albion Oak Ltd. This allows for top hung opening lights in the ribbon. These offer much better weatherproofing than unsightly vents in the lantern glass. A bespoke oak lantern
